Pianos - available for practice

Allegheny College has a fantastic music program in that students do not need to be music majors or minors to be involved in the music program. Students can also take private lessons (in fact, we have an outstanding faculty pianist, Alec Chen http://www.allegheny.edu/academics/faculty_details.php?id=304&department=Music), or just use the space.

For sophomores or juniors who are highly motivated and ready to start college next fall, s/he should consider Bard College at Simon's Rock <http://www.simons-rock.edu> We have piano practice rooms available to our students 24/7.

Hood College - offers a major in Music/Piano Pedagogy

Kenyon (OH) has a strong music major (with lots of practice space for non-majors and some fabulous NEW Steinways).

Richmond (VA) offers a fine liberal arts environment where students of any major have good access to piano practice rooms for their personal enjoyment

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music at which is also an all-Steinway school

Swarthmore (PA)  Multiple practice rooms w/ pianos (for anyone to use), and they also will pay for students to take lessons in the city if the student pursues this/takes the initiative.

Wheaton College (Norton, MA)  <http://www.wheatoncollege.edu> The Watson Fine Arts Center has Steinways in all its sound-proof practice rooms.
