Video Gaming and Design
A great resource for any student interested in this field is the International Game Developers Association site at www.igda.org.

This post of Andrew Chen's also points to some potentially helpful resources: http://andrewchen.typepad.com/andrew_chens_blog/2008/06/social-gaming-and-mmogs-quick-link-roundup.html

Subject: Re: game design schools
Champlain College started a game design program last year by working with EA Games, Ubisoft, and other market leaders who requested a team-based program. Students have a choice of two tracks: Game Design or Art and Animation. We've had huge donations from companies, and since we're close to Montreal and Boston many of the companies have solicited our students as interns. We have had an overwhelming response from students and applicants, and our program will most likely go on a waiting list soon. Our program director, Ann DeMarle, is wonderful; I've seen her absolutely captivate and motivate high schoolers by explaining the program and the resources. More information is online at http://www.champlain.edu/majors/egame, or feel free to contact me.
