Pet-Friendly Colleges

California Institute of Technology – cats and small caged animals as well as fish are permitted (no rabbits or dogs)

Eckerd College – cats, dogs, snakes, and fish are permitted in specific dorms, as long as they’re under 40 lbs.

Lehigh University – one dog or cat is permitted to live in each fraternity and sorority house on campus

Massachusetts Institute of Technology – feline companions allowed in some dormitories

Principa College (Christian Scientist) – dogs, cats, rabbits, caged animals, and aquatic pets are permitted

State University of New York at Canton – some pets allowed, but not dogs or snakes

Stephens College (for women) – cats, dogs, hamsters, & guinea pigs are permitted on designated floors

University of Idaho – cats and birds are permitted

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign – “companion animals” permitted in designated dorm

Washington & Jefferson College –  cats, dogs less than 40 pounds, small birds, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, turtles and fish are permitted
